Our name was originally Jonnson, but when we emigrated to Canada (Winnipeg) our name became Johnson. My Great, Great Grandfather, a printer in Vopnafjordur, changed our sir name to Vopni and continued the printing tradition with the Vopni Press outside of Winnipeg. Was hoping to get to your show this Friday but I'm booked. I'll be looking for your next show locally and will bring a pose (7 siblings and many nieces and nephews!) Lindy, we have to be related! I'm very impressed with your music and the message. I tend to be a "law and order" person in some ways, but something has gone drastically wrong with policing in this country - they're tough as hell with people they can push around, but they won't protect a so-called controversial person who wants to speak at a university. I am an Ottawa lawyer, a founding member of the Canadian Foundation for Drug Policy, the Canadian Drug Policy Consortium, and a lecturer on drug policy in the Department of Criminology at the University of Ottawa. I want to congratulate you on this very powerful piece of work. I have in recent years used some of the video clips that you showed in your own video to demonstrate to my drug policy class the utter barbarity and brutality of the war on drugs. I'm looking forward to letting them see your video, which makes the point even more graphically. I hope you will continue to press forward with this critique of the war on drugs and I hope that one day our paths may cross. I would be delighted to explore opportunities to collaborate. In fact, there is a drug policy conference in Ottawa in mid-July and a screening of a documentary on the futility of the war on drugs.
